JENNIFER PERRI-DAMIANO(Founder and Business Director)
I am a Graduate Linguist with BA Hons in Translation & Interpreting Studies with Italian, Spanish & Russian. I also hold two postgraduate Diplomas in specialised Interpreting Italian/English and Public Service interpreting.
I moved over from Italy in 2002 and worked as a Linguist Project Manager for a Multinational company. In addition I taught primary school children (Private & Italian Lunch time Clubs).
My main objective at Lingua4Kids is to nurture the Italian language as part of a culture and way of living, stimulating language learning from a young age.
PAOLA TRANCHINO(Italian Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator and Il Trenino Business Coordinator)
I achieved a BA Hons in Modern Italian Literature and Arts. I also have a Master Degree in Technology for teaching and General Learning and a 3-year advanced course for Psychological and Pedagogical Counsellor.
I hold a QTS as a Teacher of Italian Language and Latin, History, Geography and History of Art and about twenty years of experience in teaching in Italian Secondary schools.
Passion and creativity are my teaching style. Lingua4Kids Accademia Italiana gave me the opportunity to express my potentials and to pass it on to my little pupils.
VALENTINA PALMADORI(GCSE Italian Teacher and Business coordinator)
After a career in Hospitality Management, I decided to combine my main passions into one job: teaching! I obtained the CELTA, PTTLS and CLTA qualifications so I could work with foreign languages, leading people to big, personal achievements. I moved to the UK in 2002 and since 2003 I have been giving Italian, Portuguese and Spanish lessons to students of any age; I tutor students privately to prepare them for university interviews or exams, GSCEs, A-levels, business interviews or simply to teach them the passion for a new language. I work with all the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, Cambridge…) as private tutor, but also in the most well known private schools in Surrey.
I have chosen to work with Lingua4Kids because I think it is important for the pupils to complete a path that they have been following since a very young age: I am passionate about preparing them for their Italian GCSE as next step in their learning experience and I believe that Lingua4Kids offers the ideal setting for their success!
FRANCESCA RIDOLFI(Italian Teacher and Business coordinator)
I studied in Florence where I got the qualification of Technician of Restoration of Cultural Heritage. After that I achieved a Master in Conservative Restoration of Paintings. This gave me the opportunity not only to appreciate and learn the history of the Italian art, but also allowed me acquiring knowledge of a variety of disciplines connected to it, as history and philosophy.
During the years I worked as supply teacher and private tutor which gave me the chance to learn how to support students during their learning experience, and also made me realise my great passion for teaching.
Lingua4Kids is an ideal environment where children can link to the Italian Culture, and I am delighted to share my knowledge and creativity with my students.
